ABOUT RBC
The Riverside Blues Club (RBC) is a Southern California-based band whose purpose and desire is to bring about a renewed
appreciation for Blues music. While the Blues have never been considered “mainstream”, it is a genre rich in history that
continues to be the foundation of several other types of music. The members of Riverside Blues Club respect this and consider
it their personal mission to continue the Blues tradition by passing it on to the next generation. For this reason, you will
hear RBC play songs from Eric Clapton, Robert Johnson, BB King, ZZ Top, John Lee Hooker, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix and
other legendary blues artists. They also enjoy playing songs on the “fringe” of Blues music that have been influenced by the genre.
Musically speaking, RBC consists of the funky rock of drummer, Phil Esquibel; the soulful vocalizations of front man, John Enyeart; the slick,
bluesy riffs of lead-guitarist John Campbell; the big tonal sounds of guitarist, Robbie Dahl, and the silky rhythmic lines of bassists, Matt Whitton.
While they collectively pull from decades of experience, the members of the Riverside Blues Club are a family oriented, tasteful, bunch who are
just determined to have a good time.
One of the best things about Blues music is that anyone with heart, soul and a story can "Sing the Blues." This is why RBC will
occasionally invite a member of the audience to come up on stage to sing a song with the band. It’s called "Blues Jam with Margaret,"
so named for the first “honorary RBC member” who took the stage to sing one with the band…and yes, her name is Margaret!!!
